Iodine 1% in Alcohol 70% 100ml

• A dark, yellow-brown spirituous liquid containing lodine 0.5% w/v or 1% w/v in Ethanol 70% v/v.
• lodine has potent bactericidal activity and is coupled with the bactericidal activity of alcohol in this formulation.
• For use as pre-operative treatment of unbroken skin.
• Decant required volume into a sterile container. Apply undiluted to pre-cleaned site using a sterile applicator. Leave for 2-5minutes prior to incision. Discard unused portion.
• Hypersensitivity to lodine preparations.
• Do not swallow. Not to be taken. Solutions containing lodine applied to the skin should not be covered with occlusive dressings. If skin irritation or rash occurs, discontinue use immediately.
• Flammable liquid. Do not use near a flame.
